Nursery/Children
Cranston Christian Fellowship is a family church that takes delight in the presence of the children among us. At CCF, we provide a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for every child. Our focus is to reach not just children but their parents, grandparents, and friends as well. Our ministry is to entire families here at CCF, and we are always looking for relevant, practical ways to incorporate entire family units into our programming, worship services, and class offerings.
Our children’s ministry is led by a team of people who have a passion for introducing children to Christ at an early age.

Infant and Toddler Nurseries – Birth to 4 years
Our infants and toddlers receive loving care in separate nurseries where age-appropriate surroundings meet their needs. All parents are welcome to utilize these nurseries as needed. Parents are able to attend worship services and Sunday School knowing that their infants and toddlers are being cared for by individuals who love them and faithfully serve in this ministry. All of our childcare volunteers are background screened, and we utilize a computerized, secure check-in system so you’ll know your children are protected.

Family Fun Events
Celebrate Family provides events throughout the year that are geared to family members of all ages. Some of these events have included Christmas Caroling, Valentine Nursing Home Visit, Bowling Night, Pumpkin Carving, and preparation of Thanksgiving Baskets for those in need.
Outreach Events
Our children’s and family ministry also includes three outreach events each year geared to interest families and meet their need for a safe and fun environment. These events provide an opportunity for our church family to invite their friends, extended family, and neighbors.
Trunk or Treat – In October, families participate together by gathering candy, playing games, viewing a skit or guest presentation, and enjoying fellowship and refreshments.
Resurrection Easter Egg Hunt – Near Easter we engage entire families with traditional Easter activities. Parents, grandparents, children, and friends gather eggs, enjoy a short drama, play games, and have refreshments together.
Vacation Bible School – In July, we put on VBS, a free program for children in grades pre-K through 5th. VBS week provides an opportunity for the children to learn about God, who He is and how He loves them. Teens and adults are encouraged to participate as teachers and volunteers.
Family Worship Month
During the month of August, we focus on families worshipping together. Our Sunday School programs close down, we have two services instead of three, and we employ themes to engage our children, teens, and parents in different aspects of worship. We give out family devotional guides and emphasize learning how to develop home devotional habits. Opportunities to read scripture, usher, participate in worship, and give testimony are only a few of the items available to family participants. We are delighted to highlight our families during this month as they are an important part of the body here at CCF.
Family Worship Service
Starting in September of 2010, we are providing a “family friendly” Sunday morning service at the 11:00 hour. This service will provide an enriching worship experience for the youngest to the oldest with creative teaching methods and music that engages every age. Our goal is to provide our families an opportunity to worship together and not be divided by specific class offerings and Sunday School programs. All children and parents are able to attend a Sunday School class at 9:30 and head to “Family Worship” together in our sanctuary at 11 a.m.
