“3 Ways to Shine God’s Light” by Joel Coss

As a High School student it could be hard trying to tell the people around you about all the good God has done in your life. People have a fear of being seen as weird or different and in a society where everyone wants to fit in, this could be a scary thing. The thing about God though, is that he wants to move you out of your comfort zone. Spreading His word and showing people what He can do can be challenging, but pays off for all the effort you put in at the end. There are different ways to shine light on the kids at school.

Getting to really know someone and open up to them could be a good opportunity to learn about them, and in return they want to learn about you and your love for God. Maybe them seeing all the good it has done in your life could help them see what they’ve been missing out on. Another way to show off what God has done in your life is in the way you live and present yourself. If people see you doing good deeds and helping the people around you they’re going to wonder what on Earth led you to become such a good person. Letting them know that following Jesus and what the Bible teaches molded you into the person you are today can get them interested in wanting their lives to become more godly too. Finally, you can start by talking more openly about your relationship with God to your friends and family. Getting into a Christian lifestyle might seem difficult, but when you talk about what it really means to live it or answer questions they might have, they can see how fulfilling it can be.

In my school we have a Christian club that teaches and educates other kids on the word of God. We use all the different methods to share what Jesus has done in our lives with everyone in hopes that we could have as many people as possible see that God’s way is the best way to live!

“I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark.” John 12:46
